World Masters Athletics Travel Grant
The USATF Foundation has partnered with the USATF Masters Track & Field Committee to provide travel grants to support outstanding Team USATF Masters athletes at World Masters Athletics Championships.

THE STRONGEST MASTERS TEAM IN THE WORLD
Team USATF has over twice as many internationally ranked Masters athletes as the next two highest countries. Since the Foundation’s Masters Travel Grant program launched, Team USATF’s medal count at WMA Championships has improved dramatically.
The Need
Unlike other USA international teams, Team USATF Masters athletes must pay all their own travel expenses, preventing many top athletes from competing.
The Solution
The WMA Travel Grant awards funds annually based on performance rankings and medal results, covering travel and meet expenses.
The Impact
Team USATF dominated the 2024 WMA Outdoor Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden — a direct result of this grant program.
