USATF Foundation Announces 27 Youth Club Grant Recipients

PITTSBURGH – USA Track & Field Foundation Chairman Bob Greifeld and CEO Tom Jackovic announced 27 Youth Club Grants will be awarded to track & field clubs across the country.  The grants offer the youth athletes relief from necessary expenses such as equipment, travel costs, meet entry fees, and uniforms.

The USATF Foundation encourages any youth running or track and field club in the United States to apply for financial assistance.  Selection is partial to clubs based in low-income areas, and those who demonstrate significant need.  Other elements considered are having a history of solid financial management, multiple funding sources and community support.  The Foundation aims to help expand such youth programs/clubs to further supply more competitive opportunities to athletes.

“We are excited to support these youth clubs.  Grants such as these provide opportunities for you track and field athletes to pursue their sport and achieve their dreams,” stated USATF Foundation Director Therese Wichmann.
