Krissy Gear Inspires Youth at Perry High School’s Run With US! Event

PHOENIX, AZ –

Professional distance runner and World Championship steeplechaser Krissy Gear, a Foundation Grantee, recently visited Perry High School for an unforgettable Run With US! event. Krissy shared her inspiring journey and words of wisdom with athletes, answered their questions, and then led a spirited shakeout run alongside them.

Reflecting on her participation in the event, Krissy remarked, “It was an honor to get to talk to and run with the kids and just have an opportunity to play a small role in giving back to the sport that’s given me so much. I hope they learned something from me because I certainly picked up some tidbits and insight from chatting with them on the run that I will carry with me.”

Foundation Board member Bill Nolde expressed, “I am grateful to Krissy for dedicating her time to visit and inspire our athletes. Her excellence as both an athlete and a person is truly remarkable. Krissy’s uplifting words have made a significant impact on these young athletes. We appreciate her for being an outstanding role model for our kids.”
