Katherine Greifeld Named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors

PITTSBURGH – Katherine Greifeld has been named a director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation CEO Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.

Katherine Greifeld is a New York City-based journalist at Bloomberg News, where she covers the foreign-exchange and Treasuries markets. Her reporting appears on the Bloomberg terminal, Bloomberg.com and in Businessweek magazine. She is also a frequent guest on Bloomberg television and radio, and has experience covering municipal bonds, credit markets and health care policy. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Katherine completed her master’s degree at the Columbia University School of Journalism.

Katherine’s love of running began during middle school track practice. She would go on to compete for Haverford College in cross country and track, where she specialized in the 800 meters. Currently, she usually can be found in Central Park in pursuit of a new 5000 meter personal best.

“I’ve always loved the sport of track and field, and I’m excited to be a part of its future,” stated Greifeld.



The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging and experienced elite athletes, along with guidance on future career paths. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors, major gifts, and from generous fans of track & field.

Elite athletes are supported by the Foundation via monetary grants, career counseling (mentoring and jobs) and participation in Run With US!. Youth athletes are supported via monetary grants to youth clubs.
