USATF Foundation announces 20 Youth Club Grant recipients4-21-2011INDIANAPOLIS - The USA Track & Field Foundation Chairman Bob Greifeld and Executive Director Tom Jackovic announced today it has awarded 20 youth grants to track & field clubs throughout the country. The grants assist young male and female athletes with expenses such as travel to meets, equipment, uniforms, awards and facility rental. “The Foundation takes pride in supporting young athletes in disadvantaged areas,” noted Jackovic. “These grants assist kids that otherwise might not have the opportunity compete.” The following youth clubs were approved to receive a Foundation grant:
The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track & field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, distance training centers and anti-doping education.
