Dan McClory, USATF Foundation Director and Hunter Wise Managing Director, receives Knighthood in New York

NEW YORK CITY - The American Delegation of Savoy Orders announces that Daniel J. McClory, Managing Director, Hunter Wise Financial Group, LLC has received a Knighthood in the 2011 Honors list of individuals conferred by His Royal Highness Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy, Grand Master of the historic Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy. Prince Victor Emmanuel of Savoy is the son of the late King Umberto II of Italy. The Savoy Orders are ancient orders of knighthood which date back to the Crusades, have traditionally been devoted to charitable works, and recognize individuals for their contributions in public service, medicine, the arts, music, government, business and philanthropy.

Honors were conferred at the main altar of famed Saint Patrick’s Cathedral during the Investiture Mass, continuing a thousand year tradition of humanitarian service and philanthropy to aid the poor and sick (www.savoia.org).

McClory is an international investment banker whose corporate finance transactions have spanned the U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa. He serves as Managing Director of the Hunter Wise Financial Group, LLC in Southern California where he leads the Equity Capital Markets Group, the recent winner of “Deal of the Year” in three categories at the 10th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. McClory is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Foundation and a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation. McClory was named an "Outstanding Young Alumnus" of EMU and "Eastern Man of the Year" and was also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Public Service degree and gave the Commencement Address for graduates. McClory is a member of the Gen Next organization, and active in its Venture Philanthropy and Gen Equity arms.

Among the numerous guests were Bob Greifeld (NASDAQ OMX CEO & USATF Foundation Chair) and Mark Pigott, Chairman and CEO of PACCAR.

Cindy and Mark Pigott, who established the Savoy Orders Pigott Scholarship Endowment in 2010 for students pursuing careers in the humanities and international studies, were also recognized.

The American Delegation through its charitable arm, the American Foundation of Savoy Orders, contributes to humanitarian, hospitaller and charitable projects and initiatives across North America and abroad, particularly in healthcare and hospice care, disaster relief, education programs and children’s causes.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, distance training centers and anti-doping education. The Foundation depends upon donations from its Board of Directors and from generous fans of track & field.
