Mike Kitson named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors3-31-2010INDIANAPOLIS - Mike Kitson, CEO of Utilimaster Corp., has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today. “Mike loves the sport and is anxious to help the Foundation provide opportunities for athletes to compete,” said Jackovic. Kitson joined Utilimaster Corporation, an Indiana-based manufacturer of commercial vehicles in November 1999 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and became President and CEO in October 2007. Prior to joining Utilimaster, Mr. Kitson held various financial management positions with Lilly Industries, Inc., a publicly-held manufacturer of industrial coatings. Kitson started his career with Ernst & Young and later served as the Controller of Regency Electronics, Inc., a publicly-held manufacturer of consumer electronics. Kitson, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Ball State University and received an MBA from Butler University. Kitson has been a long-time participant and supporter of track & field. As a high school and collegiate athlete, he focused on the 880 yard run and as an adult, competed in a number of half and full marathons. The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track & field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes, distance training centers and anti-doping education.
