David Oliver, Elite Athlete Development Grant recipient, takes Bronze Medal in the 110 Hurdles8-21-2008Beijing – The USA Track & Field Foundation is extremely pleased to announce that David Oliver, a USATF Foundation Elite Athlete Development Grant recipient in 2007 & 2008, has won the bronze medal in the Men’s 110 Hurdles, said Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic today. “Winning an Olympic medal is a dream come true for every athlete. To see David’s progress over the past two years, culminating in today's bronze medal, has been a joy to watch,” Jackovic said. David recently ran a quick 12.95 in Eugene, winning the Olympic Trials. The USATF Foundation Elite Athlete Grant program contributes to the pursuit of world-class performances by American post-collegiate track and field athletes. Athletes must meet minimum performance and income standards to be eligible. The Foundation assists people of all ages, all walks of life, and all ability levels in finding enjoyment and accomplishment and achieving fitness through our inclusive sport.
