Bill Belk named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors

Indianapolis – Bill Belk, Managing Director of Carolina Financial Securities, has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs, with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging athletes and anti-doping education.  There are nine Foundation-supported athletes competing at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

“Bill continues the Belk family tradition of supporting track & field throughout the U.S.” said Jackovic.”  He is excited about the opportunity to provide assistance to our next generation of Olympians.”

Bill received a B.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill and received his J.D. from Wake Forest University Law School.  He also has a Masters of Law in Taxation and an M.B.A. from Emory University.  He has been very active in assisting his community, including serving on the CEO Council for the United States Olympic Committee, Chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the Greater Charlotte area, Co-Founder of the Shelter Relief for Abused Women and is a Board Member at Winthrop University and Wake Forest University Law School.
