Larry Lee named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors

INDIANAPOLIS – Larry Lee, President and Owner of Leepoxy Plastics Group has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging athletes and anti-doping education.

“Larry is a self-proclaimed track fanatic, and we look forward to him bringing that passion for the sport to the Foundation board,” said Jackovic. “

Founded in 1965 by Larry’s father, Leepoxy custom formulates epoxies and urethanes that meet the most stringent requirements for sophisticated high-tech applications.

Larry has run competitively since the age of 14, including running the mile and cross country in high school.  He has been active as a runner with the Fort Wayne Track Club since its inception.  Larry competed for the USA in the 2005 Maccabi World Games in Israel (Grand Masters half-marathon).

Larry received a B.A. from Indiana University in Bloomington and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.  He has been very active in assisting his community, including serving on the President’s Advisory Council at Indiana University, Bloomington, and on the Indiana-Purdue Foundation at Fort Wayne Board of Directors, as IU’s representative.  He was also awarded the Ralph E. Broyles Medal at IPFW for outstanding service to the university.  Larry is a charter member of the IPFW Athletics Hall of Fame.

Larry is married to wife Linda and has two daughters, Jenni, a former college cross country runner and Samantha, who currently competes in soccer and track.
