Dan McClory named to USATF Foundation Board of Directors

INDIANAPOLIS – Dan McClory, Managing Director of Hunter Wise Financial Group, has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic and Chairman Bob Greifeld announced today.

The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging athletes and anti-doping education.

“Dan has a passion for track and field that will add to our Board and its other committed members serving USATF,” said Jackovic.  “We welcome the energy and involvement of Dan McClory and look forward to his active participation on the USATF Board,” commented Greifeld, who serves as CEO of NASDAQ OMX, the world’s largest exchange company.

Mr. McClory is an investment banker who has provided US, European and Asian corporate finance and advisory services to small-cap and emerging growth clients at Hunter Wise.  He has completed IPOs on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market and listings and fundraisers on the U.S. Over the Counter Markets.

Dan is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, earning a BS in English (1981) and a MA in Language and International Trade (1982), and was a three-time captain of the school's NCAA Division I cross country team. McClory earned eight varsity letters for the Hurons, four each in track and cross country. He was named an Outstanding Young Alumnus of EMU in 1992. Mr. McClory's 2008 gift of $1,000,000 to the Eastern Michigan University Men's and Women's Track and Cross Country programs was the largest contribution in EMU Athletic Department history.

Dan's over 35 years of involvement in track and field include the past eight coaching distance runners in the first through fourth grades at St. Mary & All Angels School in Aliso Viejo, California, where the Falcons have won five of the past seven Orange County Parochial Athletic League Track Championships. His seventh grade daughter has qualified several times for the USATF Youth Outdoor Track & Field Championships in multiple event,s as a member of the South Orange County Wildcats.
