Youth Track Clubs receive USATF Foundation grants

INDIANAPOLIS – The USA Track & Field Foundation has awarded several Youth Club Grants to deserving clubs, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic announced today.

"The Foundation is delighted to award these grants to help support and encourage competitive and fitness opportunities for young people," said USATF Foundation board member Paul Lilly. "I encourage other fans to join us in helping America's youth athletes discover their potential."

The following clubs/organizations were awarded grants:

New York Road Runners Foundation (New York, NY): $5000 grant, 2008 NYC DOE Track & Field Series

Sonic Track & Field Club (Celina, OH): $2000 grant, equipment, scholarships, coaching and travel

Superior Track & Field Club (Superior, CO): $1500 grant, facility rental, T-shirts, awards and equipment

Future Stars Track Club (Pittsburgh, PA): $2000 grant, travel, equipment

Allegiance Athletic Club (Portland, OR): $2000 grant, equipment

Ann Arbor Track Club (Ann Arbor, MI): $1500 grant, travel, coaching
