Peck named to USATF Foundation Board9-12-2006INDIANAPOLIS - Raphael Peck, the Vice President of Product Creation and Merchandising for Under Armour, has been named as a Director of the USA Track & Field Foundation Board, USATF Foundation Executive Director Tom Jackovic announced on Tuesday. The USATF Foundation provides a means to attract and guide funds to new and innovative track and field programs with an emphasis on providing opportunities for youth athletes, emerging elite athletes and anti-doping education. An active runner who participates in full and half marathons, Peck joined Under Armour in 2002 with more than 12 years of product marketing experience. He oversees all aspects of product creation and direction for Under Armour including product marketing, merchandising and design. He is responsible for recruiting, overseeing and retaining Under Armour's Product Creation team, implementing multiple core product creation infrastructures, and reinventing Under Armour's product fabrications. Peck has led Under Armour into new markets including youth, outdoors and tactical, and has been successful in establishing the company as a thriving women's performance apparel and cleated footwear brand. Since arriving at Under Armour, Peck has driven the introduction of several new technologies including a push pull moisture management story and a modular protection concept. Most recently, Peck helped launch Under Armour's Tech collection, applying higher quality air spun synthetics to create fabrics with a cotton feel, and has spearheaded the development of the Under Armour Performance Footwear collection, which was launched in stores in June 2006. Previously, Peck oversaw various cross training product lines for Adidas International. He earned an undergraduate degree in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College in 1995.
