In Monica's words:

"With the help of the USATF Foundation, I lowered my PR tremendously in 2009. It was a blessing to have resources to seek treatment opportunities that allowed for a healthy and successful season this year. After struggling with some major setbacks due to injuries over the last couple of years, thanks to the USATF foundation, I finally feel back "ON TRACK!"

An academic All-American while studying Psychology at Georgetown University. Served as an assistant coach at Georgetown University in 2005 and 2006. Currently, a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Arkansas. Involved in various Health and Wellness Promotional Modeling Events in the Fayetteville Arkansas Area.

Moved to Arkansas in 2008 to train and be with my future husband, Wallace Spearmon Jr., who happens to be my best friend in track and field.

In my spare time, I love to read, listen to music & watch movies with Wallace, and spend time with my two dogs, Nikko and Kobe. I have plans to complete my masters in liberal studies at Georgetown, and may also seek an MBA one day. I have a strong interest in becoming a sportsmodel. My new hobbies include learning to play the piano and speaking a foreign language fluently.

2006 4X400 INDOOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS SILVER MEDAL TEAM / NIKKO & KOBE

Thanks,

Monica Hargrove, 400 Meters
