With the grant money, I am able to work less and have more time to focus on training and competing." I love life and everything that is in it. Hammer is a huge love of mine, but not the only one. I love to hang out with my family and friends whenever I have a chance to do so. My family and friends have always been there for me, and without their guidance and support, throwing the ball and chain around would be a little tougher. When I am not training or working, you can find me at the beach with my dog. Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved the beach. There is just something about the sand and the waves that I cannot get enough. I also love to read a good book, watch any reality show and on occasion, cooking. Right now I work part-time for the San Diego Padres. They are great about working around my training and competition schedule. After I am done with my athletic career, I hope to continue my professional career with the Padres.
